Bespoke Jewellery; Emerald Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
So what type of diamond engagement ring does an architect want to purchase? Well a ring that focuses on clean lines and minimalist to compliment the diamond. The first step was to choose the diamond, as always selecting a diamond can be a minefield so I explained the characteristics that us diamond graders look for in diamonds so he could make an informed decision on what is the best diamond to suit his needs. He fell in love with the linear sparkle and the crisp angular outline of an emerald cut. He also wanted to spoil his beloved so he selected a very generous carat weight with the qualities of the different characteristics up with the gods. A sharp shaped diamond deserves a complimentary ring design.
Next to the Engagement ring design. I considered all the angles to the ring to compliment the linear looking diamond; the corners to the shank, the shape of the claws and profile of the stone bezel. How will the ring sit next to a wedding band? The colour of the metals against the clients skin but also making the most of a gorgeous emerald cut diamond. Hence using the warm tones of 18 carat yellow gold for the shank combined with the durable and clean whiteness of platinum to compliment the white diamond. The end results a captivating linear diamond with a linear sparkle in a linear inspired engagement ring.
